Esta canción fue escrita por Phil Spector, Ellie Greenwich y Jeff Barry. Fue originalmente grabada como un  single en 1963 por The Crystals. 

Bruce Springsteen la grabó en vivo en 1975 y 33 años después la cantó en un concierto en St. Louis, en Agosto de 2008.
